Does the Google Indexing API work for every page?
Google officially recommends the Indexing API for job postings and livestream pages. Notifications for other page types are accepted, but indexing is not guaranteed. That is why Rankrama measures the result with Search Console URL Inspection and also supports IndexNow.
How many URLs can I submit per day?
Google allows 200 Indexing API notifications per Google Cloud project per day and 2,000 URL inspections per property per day. You can request a higher quota from Google Cloud. Rankrama tracks the quota and never exceeds it.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Your workspace moves to the Free plan automatically. Nothing you added is deleted; you just cannot add more than the Free plan allows until you choose a plan.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. You only enter payment details when you choose a paid plan.
Can I use it without a Google account?
Yes. Sitemap monitoring, site audits, change monitoring and IndexNow (Bing, Yandex) work without Google. Google submissions, index status and Search Console data need a Search Console connection.
Is my Google key safe?
Service account keys are stored encrypted and are only ever sent to Google's authentication endpoint. You can remove the account in the panel or revoke the key in Google Cloud at any time.
Do I need to change anything on my site?
No. IndexNow only asks you to upload a small key file to your site's root folder. Everything else works through your sitemap and Search Console.
