What gets in the way
-
01
News has a short life
An article that is discovered tomorrow has already lost most of its traffic.
-
02
Thousands of URLs
Archives, tags and categories make it hard to see which pages are actually indexed.
-
03
Template changes
One release can add noindex or break canonicals across every article.
How Rankrama helps
Indexing
New articles, submitted fast
Sitemaps are scanned on a schedule and new URLs go to the top of the queue, ahead of updated pages and resubmissions.
- Google Indexing API and IndexNow
- Quota tracked per Cloud project
- Submission log with responses
Index status
Know what dropped out
URL Inspection shows which articles are indexed, and a daily email lists the ones that dropped out.
- Coverage for every article
- Google's reason for each excluded page
- CSV export
Search Console Plus
Traffic history beyond 16 months
Compare this season or event with the same period last year and the year before.
- Query and page performance
- Rising and falling stories
- Country and device split

Does the Indexing API work for news articles?
Google officially supports it for job postings and livestreams only. Other pages are accepted but not guaranteed, so Rankrama measures the result and also uses IndexNow.
How many articles can I track?
100,000 pages on Business, 500,000 on Agency and unlimited on Scale.
